Born in North Carolina but raised in Georgia, Bobby Jackson is a true southern gentleman. A product of Benjamin E. Mays High School in Atlanta, Bobby has made it a priority to do all he can to continue to build the esteem and stature of youth wherever he finds them. With Aynda, his wife of 20 years, he co-founded No Stones Movement, a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to the holistic development of inner city, under-served, minority youth in the Metropolitan Atlanta area, where he serves as President.
With NSM as their home base, Bobby and Aynda also founded Tamu Sana Kanyama Preparatory Academy, an independent African-centered high school in the Atlanta area. With community always at the forefront of his mission, Bobby is also heavily involved in civic activism and youth empowerment. In addition to NSM, Inc., he also sits on the board of two youth organizations, Pro-Conscious Athletes and Optimize The Vision. But his true passion lies on the 64 squares of the chess board. Under the umbrella of NSM, he developed Name Of The Game: Chess in Real Life, a program designed to teach the game of chess and how to apply those rules and techniques to everyday life. He has taught this program to children from elementary to high school, as well as administrators, collegiate and professional athletes and corporate executives. In his down time, you will never find Bobby too far from a few things: a good book, a good chess game, or he and Aynda’s four children, Ebony, Mahogany, Millettia and Anwar.
"Bobby Jackson has found an incredible and interesting way to teach and connect playing chess to real life, making it relatable and fun. It also makes Mr. Jackson an incredible teacher and life coach! He is wonderfully motivating and encouraging." - Keshna P.
